Alice Maxwell among new inductees to The XXXI

On Monday, Alice Maxwell was tapped as one of the 31 newest members of The XXXI, a prestigious all-women campus honorary at the University of Alabama. The ceremony took place at the The Crimson Promenade on the university campus.

The XXXI was founded in 1989 to honor women with a commitment to The University of Alabama, the city of Tuscaloosa and/or the state of Alabama through service, leadership and exemplary character. Each year the honor society selects 31 outstanding women for membership. Alice was among only three in the “Alumnae” category to be tapped.

The XXXI membership consists of 18 University juniors, eight University seniors, three University alumnae, one University faculty member, and one leader in the state who does not have to be a student or graduate of the University of Alabama.

Alice and the other new members were welcomed in as members of the 29th Order. Among other well-known inductees were Terry Saban, the wife of Alabama Football Coach Nick Saban, and co-founder of the Nick’s Kids Foundation.

“I am so honored to be chosen to join such an outstanding group of women who have served our community and the University,” Alice said. “They have impacted so many lives–and I can’t wait to get involved!”

Congratulations to all the outstanding women who were honored!
