Picnic at Capitol Park, 2828 6th St

Pack your picnic basket and a blanket and enjoy a picnic at Capitol Park. Between 1826 and 1846, Tuscaloosa was the site of the Alabama Capitol. However, in 1847 the capitol was moved to Montgomery. These ruins make an elegant backdrop for date night photos.

Lake Nicol, 4409 Nicol Park Rd

If you want to have an outdoorsy date, give Lake Nicol a try. While this may actually be more of a “date day” instead of “date night”, it’s perfect for those who enjoy hiking, canoeing, swimming (in warmer weather), and bird watching. This well-maintained park is great for nature enthusiasts and those wanting to incorporate healthy living into their date activities.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Hopefully this list will inspire you and help you decide where to take your sweetheart on your next date night. You might even try to do one of these per month. Whatever you decide to do, the important thing is to enjoy the company of the one you love. Happy Valentine’s Day!
