If live music is more your scene, check out a concert at Druid City Music Hall. Take a trip to The Strip and dance the night away to your favorite style of music. Druid City Music Hall welcomes artists of all genres, so whatever you are looking for can be found at this venue. If you and your sweetheart disagree about the best type of music, you can be extra romantic by taking him or her to a concert that they will love without complaining. Truth be told, no matter who is playing, you’re sure to have fun at Druid City Music Hall. The atmosphere is laid back and fun and you will be with the person you love.

Bama Theater, 600 Greensboro Ave
If you and your partner love live theatre, consider catching a production by a local theatre company at the historic Bama Theater. Not only will you be entertained, you will also be supporting local performers. Not to mention that the marquee out front makes for an incredibly Instagram-worthy backdrop. If you aren’t a fan of live theatre, but love the venue, check out their schedule to find out more information about art exhibits and the Bama Art House Film Series that will be hosted there as well. There is something for everyone at the Bama Theater.
Picnic at Capitol Park, 2828 6th St
Pack your picnic basket and a blanket and enjoy a picnic at Capitol Park. Between 1826 and 1846, Tuscaloosa was the site of the Alabama Capitol. However, in 1847 the capitol was moved to Montgomery. Now all that is left of the Tuscaloosa capitol building is the stone foundation and a couple of columns that are located in Capitol Park. These ruins make an elegant backdrop for date night photos.
Lake Nicol, 4409 Nicol Park Rd
If you want to have an outdoorsy date, give Lake Nicol a try. While this may actually be more of a “date day” instead of “date night”, it’s perfect for those who enjoy hiking, canoeing, swimming (in warmer weather), and bird watching. This well-maintained park is great for nature enthusiasts and those wanting to incorporate healthy living into their date activities.
Happy Valentine’s Day
Hopefully this list will inspire you and help you decide where to take your sweetheart on your next date night. You might even try to do one of these per month. Whatever you decide to do, the important thing is to enjoy the company of the one you love. Happy Valentine’s Day!
